Basic Techniques: Front grip (out position), reverse grip (in position), poke, stab, bunt, inside/ outside/ upward/ downward strike, inside/ outside/ upward/ downward slash, inside/ outside/ upper/ lower block, high & low x-block, forward & back wrist roll

Advanced Techniques: Blade grip, forward & reverse figure-8, upward & downward diagonal slash, inside/ outside/ high/ low parry, inner & outer trap (any direction), double trap, mirror trap, bridge trap

Sai Form 1 (brown or higher)
Segment 1: Begin in reverse grip. High x-block (switching to front grip) to lower side blocks, [L] cross chamber then [L] povot to bow stance & [L] outside slash, [L] switch to reverse grip, bring feet together then [R] front poke & [L] back poke, [R] step to forward stance & [R] upward diagonal slash then switch to reverse grip, [L] upward diagonal slash then switch to reverse grip, double front bunt.

Segment 2: Shift to [R] cat stance & [R] low parry block, [R] front kick then [L] pivot to horse stance, [L] then [R] upper block to double side bunt (in reverse grip), [L] pivot to bow stance & [L] outside block (front grip), [R] switch to front grip, raise [R] kniee & [R] forward wrist roll to [L] bridge trap, step down into [R] forward stance & [R] poke through bridge, downward x-block (in front grip).

Segment 3: [R] step to [L] back twist stance @R45 & [R] lower block (reverse grip) with [L] hand high guard, [L] step back into side stance (keeping angle) & [L] outside strike, [R] crossover side kick & [R] side poke, step down to horse stance (keeping angle) & [L] side poke, [L] step to horse stance facing front & double slash to [R] side, [L] 180° pivot to horse stance & double slash to [L] side, double diagonal slash to [R] hip then back to [L] shoulder, [R] 180° pivot to horse stance & double slash to [R] side, double diagonal slash to [L] hip then strike up to both shoulders, double forward wrist roll to downward x-block (forward grip), shift to reverse grip then double low bunt (in ready stance), return to starting position.
